Example: Filter Custom Reports and Charts by Seam

The following examples use the gridded seam model from the coal_minex demonstration data set.

Filter a Custom Report by Seam

  1. Open v90_coal_stripping.minesched.
  2. If you have not run the schedule previously, in the Create Schedule tab, click Create Schedule.
  3. In the Dashboard, select Add Report > Custom.
  4. The Customise Report form appears.

  5. In the Title field, type "COAL in seam A".
  6. In the Period order field, select Row.
  7. Click Insert.
  8. In the Series data grid:
    1. In the Value column, select MASS.
    2. In the Movement column, select Removed.
    3. In the Production column, select all (using the wildcard *).
    4. In the Materials column, select COAL.
    5. Click in the Materials cell, and add a colon (:) and A to the material name.
    6. That is, the material class cell should read "COAL:A".

    7. In the Resources column, select all (using the wildcard *).
    8. In the Text Parameters column, select all (using the wildcard *).
  9. Click OK.
  10. The report displays information for only COAL in seam A.

Filter a Custom Chart by Seam

  1. Open v90_coal_stripping.minesched.

  2. If you have not run the schedule previously, in the Create Schedule tab, click Create Schedule.
  3. In the Dashboard, select Add Chart > Custom.
  4. The Customise Chart form appears.

  5. Select the Title check box.
  6. In the Title field, type "COAL in seam A".
  7. In the Legend field, select Outside Bottom.
  8. In the Colouring field, select Default.
  9. In the Style field, select 2D .
  10. Click Insert.
  11. In the Series data grid:
    1. In the Value column, select MASS.
    2. In the Movement column, select Removed.
    3. In the Production column, select all (using the wildcard *).
    4. In the Materials column, select COAL.
    5. Click in the Materials cell, and add a colon (:)and A to the material name.
    6. That is, the material class cell should read "COAL:A".

    7. In the Resources column, select all (using the wildcard *).
    8. In the Text Parameters column, select all (using the wildcard *).
  12. Click OK.
  13. The chart displays information for only COAL in seam A.
